Oscars Red Carpet Fashion Wrap-up!

As a Red Carpet Junkie, I had so much fun joining the gang at NBC’s Daytime for a fun fashion debate of the showstopping looks (good and bad) on the Oscars Red Carpet last night!

Here were my picks from Hollywood and Fashion’s Biggest Night:

Best Dressed:

Julianne Moore – Chanel Haute Couture –  This dress was a walking piece of art.  It has 80,000 hand-painted resin sequins and flowers beaded on this dress and it took almost 1000 hours and 27 people to make it… Stunning!

Rosamund Pike – Givenchy – The color and the fit were perfect for her – She was flawless!

Jennifer Lopez – Elie Saab – A princess moment on the red carpet

Margot Robbie – Saint Laurent and Van Cleef and Arpels – I loved this throwback to iconic hollywood glamour plus the archive Van Cleef and Arpels necklace definitely said starlet to me.  It was originally designed for the Duchess of Windsor in the 1930s.

Worst Dressed:
Anna Kendrick – Thakoon – She looks beautiful as always but I felt like this dress looked mature and felt like a more casual bridesmaid dress to me instead of an Oscar look.

Scarlett Johansson – Versace  – I thought the dress fit amazingly but the statement necklace overwhelmed the look for me.

Undecided:
Lupita Nyong’o – Calvin Klein Collection – This custom gown had 6,000 pearls on it but I’m not sure I loved the neckline and keyhole in the design of the bodice… What do you think?

Marion Cotilliard – Dior Haute Couture – This dress may be before it’s time for mainstream trend but Marion Cotilliard is a true style icon and her quiet confidence can carry just about any look down the red carpet… What do you think of this Dior Haute Couture dress?  Oui or Non?

Who were your best and worst dressed picks?
